Cultural Studies is the devil. Seriously. I'm so over it. If there was ever a po-mo art student in me, he's now vacated, and I'm now ready to study something that's actually important and may contribute to making the world a better place. I HATE MY DEGREE! I'm going through such an incredibly dramatic identity crisis. It's so pathetic. I'm not even

anyway, ignore that. your uni has a careers centre, or equiv, right? maybe you should go and talk to them and see if they can give you any advice or at least to have a look what's out there, what the options are and how you can get somewhere you want to be (girl power! ... well, without the girl. or feminism. you know what i mean. oh so po mo).
blockbuster -- hmmm write up your CV, go to www.seek.com.au (or equivalent) and slut yourself around the recruitment world! it's worth a go at least, and you can't work somewhere you don't like forever...
(ps, you should be a movie reviewer! you have a passion for movies... replace that dumb greenie dyke on SBS)

I cannot over-emphasise exactly how much a monotonous job will make you think you've turned into a zombie!!! When I was in that publishing job until April last year, I was convinced that all my creative juices had somehow been taken away in little vitrines whilst I slept. I realised it was simply a boring job that really didn't offer me any inspiration or even a little bit of fun. Find a better job, and maybe that will start the ball rolling.
Once you're back at uni full-time things will change alot too, methinks.
Talk soon, slut.

ahem! ok, so it's monday morning, and i am a little hyped-up-zombie-esque due to soccer watching and all sorts of other late-night, freezing-cold melbourne adventures. but hear this: no-one knows what they want to do, particularly in the opening throes of an arts degree. nothing wrong with your degree - you're just starting to understand what you want from it, and hopefully you can tailor it so you can get that without too much effort.
in the meantime, enjoy non-responsibility by taking a day off and wandering the streets, infused with a sense of tourist-in-your-own-dry-retching-metropolis.
sorry if i sound a bit condescending, i don't mean to be like that, it's early and i don't have the energy for re-writes.

I think we should all do actuarial studies and not have lives! yay team.
Personally, I'd rather analyse "Bring It On" and not have a job.
On second thoughts, a job would be nice.
Soooo going to change.
