Alright, I’ve found a house. Not just a house, THE house. The perfect house.

Six bedrooms. One and a half bathrooms. Jam space. Huge kitchen. Living room. Finished basement with high ceilings. Front porch. Partially furnished. Balcony on second floor. Pet friendlyThere’s no backyard, the neighbourhood is a bit sketch but we’re all big kids so I ( Read more... )

Ah, sweet. I forgot to mention I'd be out if I couldn't bring the mutt.

Tim Markovich, got it. Thanks, Tem! And if you need my help with anything, lemme know. ♥

I'd figured as much. There are the kittens too, I didn't know at the time if Sasuke would be taking them all so I busted my ass to accommodate you guys. I've never lived with pets (well, other than boys), I'm weirdly excited.

I take this to mean you're in for the money though? You can agree to and abide to these terms and conditions?

Don't mention it. I know.

You've never had pets?! Man! That's crazy.

Oh, yeah. No worries there.

Well, I had a ferret for a few months when I was a kid, but that's it. Closest I've ever really had to having a pet is running with you and Akamaru.

Good luck with all the stuff you have going on, I know everyone needs some around this time. Congrats, on the role as well, I think you'll be brilliant as Anita.

If you need any furniture my parents are looking to sell/get rid of a few old couches, I think one of the cushions has a wine stain on it though.

Thanks Sakura, that's kind of you to say.

We should be alright, the place is a student rooming house that's abandoned for the summer, so it's actually already furnished. That was one of the major selling points for me, meant I didn't have to blow a wad on house shit now and then bail it all out in a few months. Thanks though, if the couches turn out to be utterly atrocious, we'll take you up on that.

Well, I think you're probably one of the people that was cast before Tsunade decided it was too much work and started pulling names from a hat.

Okay! Just let me know.

No, I'm pretty convinced it was a fluke. I dropped out. She probably just threw darts at the student list.

I don't even know how you're still breathing, Tem. You make me tired just readin' all the shit you have to get done.

An' yeah, I'm down for it!

In a word? Speed. Suddenly two hours of sleep is more than enough to skyrocket my energy.

.......not really. I do make damn sure to use my time though, not just idle around and worrying.

Excellent, glad to hear it. Ten minute subway to the beach by the way, I timed it after I checked the place out. Is a shitty beach, but better than nothing I suppose.

YOU SCARED ME FOR A SECOND THERE.

It still seems like way too much to fit into a day. You and Kiba, man. The two of you must secretly be superheroes. Or villians, whatever gets you off.

HELL YES. I am damn used to shitty beaches, so I don't have that high a standard to begin with. Goddam, best news I've heard all week.

Awww, Zaku, I didn't know you cared ♥

I think I'd rather have a secret identity, this half can be the superhero.

Haha, well, I'm glad I could oblige.

Uh, I don't know, I didn't measure square footage. Room size rather than closet size? Maybe about half the size of the dorms?

Backstage is basically a storage closed there, you want to be in the pit and that's sure as hell where I'm going to be once my set's over. I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Hell yeah. That'll be the other bonus point of sharing a house, record sharing.

You know what? Yeah, it's going to be rad. The more I think about it, the more excited I am. I mean, just think of the jam sessions!!

Good man.

Maybe you'll get lucky and have an MIA roommate next year and you can turn their bed into a record rack.

My father always said that midtown neighborhoods were safe as long as the violent drug dealers aren't there. Chelsea is the potheads. They don't kill people and they don't have the motivation for robbery.

The biggest problem you'll have is the landlord. Don't screw with them, they'll remember you. And since you are (I assume) on the hook for the damage deposit (and you're living with a bunch of wild animals), you need to enforce some strict cleaning rules. And you need to do this as soon as people move in, Naruto in particular is sneaky about not cleaning. Make sure that he doesn't just shove everything under his bed (or in his closet.)

I'm sure we'll be fine, every neighborhood seems worse in the news than it really is. I've been everywhere in this city at all times and the worst I've ever encountered was a guy trying to pick me up and offering to pay me with blow. Which really sounds worse than it was. He got the hint real damn quick and left me alone.

Things'll be cool, I got on well with the owner. Besides, the house isn't in great shape to begin with, and you give the people I've decided to live with way less credit than they deserve. There's a difference between messy and destructive.

All right. I still have contacts in the police department if there are any problems. Call me.

Okay.

It's not about credit. It's about human nature.

I've got my fair share of contacts too, but thanks.

You've got a skewed view of what's natural, kid.
