Alright, I’ve found a house. Not just a house, THE house. The perfect house.
Six bedrooms. One and a half bathrooms. Jam space. Huge kitchen. Living room. Finished basement with high ceilings. Front porch. Partially furnished. Balcony on second floor. Pet friendly
There’s no backyard, the neighbourhood is a bit sketch but we’re all big kids so I think we can handle it. Three blocks form the subway. Walking distance to the Eight Ball, Puss, grocery store, liquor store, and Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. There’s a decent park (in daylight) about five blocks east.
AND, the lease if for the summer so no penalty fees when we come back to Tsunade’s halls.
Rent is $700 a month, all inclusive which, at the moment, assuming all five of us are game, is $140 each. $117 if we find a sixth. Lease would be in my name, withdrawal coming out of my account, so that money would need to be in my pocket by the Friday before the end of the month and I will skin you alive and then kick you out of my house if it is not.
There will be house rules:
- No hard drugs, dealers or junkies on the premises. Ever. Even at house parties.
- Clean up after yourself. And help clean communal spaces.
- Don’t eat other people’s food. Replace communal things if you use them up.
- Do NOT leave empty milk containers in the fridge. I will fuck you up.
- No in-fighting (I will seriously put your head’s through walls and then your asses on the street)
- Respect each other’s stuff and the other people in the house
- Don’t have assholes over. Unless they’re my brothers.
- No hosting big events without clearing with everyone first.
More might be added as necessary but those are my big issues. Anko, Kiba, Zaku, Naruto, if you guys are still game, I need to know like yesterday. And if you know a sixth person, let me know. I’d rather we have someone everyone already knows than someone just one of us know.
In other news, Pretensions gig on Friday May 23rd. We’re opening for a Scottish grind-rock band and premiering a slew of new material. At the Whiskey, $3 advance, $5 at the door. Come on down.
Oh, and I’m apparently playing Anita in West Side Story. On top of the house hunting. And moving. And band rehearsals. And finals, because it IS that season. And job hunting, because it’s that season too. (Which reminds me, Kiba, when you get the chance head down to the main labour house at the doc and ask for Tim Markovich, he’ll be able to get you set up on one of the crews.) I’m probably going to wind up spending most of the summer flyering for Todd and working Spartacus, maybe the odd thing at the docs if I need any extra for road trips or something. Should be pretty nice and laid back, with lots of flexibility for shows.
Assuming I get through the next few weeks of exams in addition to the rehearsal times. Ah fuck, I need to start packing too! Damnit.
