Thanks for the comment! I saw that pic last night, right after I walked out of HBP again, and was super excited about it cuz it's just too cute. Then moodwriter said she wanted fic to go with it, and I couldn't stop the plot bunnies ;)

This was wonderful. The one thing that I admire about your writing is the way you manage to... show how someone is beautiful without making it sound like you're just saying he's beautiful. It's very hard for me to explain this, but you make it a part of the story, how other people react and how it makes Harry feel and when you describe something, you don't use words that are... commonly used in fanfiction.

Can I say how much your comment about my writing means to me? I don't even have words to describe it. I've always been so awkward about my writing (if you read the profile info, you'll understand why. So your comment truly does mean a lot to me.

Oh my god, I'm almost in tears here, because that's just wrong!! Nobody has the right to say something like that to another person. Writing is something very personal in a way, and in time you need to learn to take critique etc., but it should never be crushing. It should always be encouraging and something that makes you go forward, something that makes you want to be better, write better, learn more. Not something that crushes your writing spirit and kills your joy. *hugs

What she did was wrong, and I've moved passed it, for the most part, but sometimes I still get unsure about my writing. I'm all for criticism, that's how we grow, but it shouldn't be delivered in a devastating fashion. My teacher told me those things when I was 16 years old, IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS. When I had a better grade than 80% of the rest of the class.

I will definitely have to look into that book. It sounds incredible!

I might have been persuaded to continue this... I'll just have to see because I have a couple of other WIPs in other fandoms that I don't want to abandon JUST yet ;) But I will definitely take you up on your offer of helping me get the feel of Japan!

I may have been persuaded to continue this ;) That's part of the reason I left this off where I did, just in case I wanted to come back to it. There are a number of reasons this was set in Japan, which were integral to this story even as a one shot. The main reason being that the Japanese culture reveres pale skin, and Draco would definitely stand out in a crowd.

As far as being retired from this fandom, I was. I was very involved as a reader/reviewer back in 2003-2005, then left the fandom completely. I dabbled back in it again in 2007, before leaving again. I recently came back a few weeks ago, right before the release of the HBP movie, and wrote in this fandom for the first time. So, in a long-winded, round-about way to answer your question, no, I am no longer retired from this fandom, and yes, I will be writing more.
