So I'm still enjoying the sun and the classes and the surroundings and the people I'm getting to know here in Tucson, but not so much the nerves before my own presentation on Saturday and the feelings of inadequacy that comes from being around all these brilliant people in the same field as me. hard to get used to the time difference, glad your enjoying it. Nice selection of pictures, unusual. You'll have to relax about your presentation, it is not easy to talk in front of people you 'think' are better than yourself, just be yourself, things like this always go better than you imagine.

Thanks for the good advice! Speaking from experience, it usually does go better than I fear. I'm doing my best to hold on to that thought, and right at the moment that's going well :)

I often use a trick when I do presentations. Basically it consists of convincing myself that I know what I am working on better than anybody else. All things considered, that is not very unlikely either, science usually being highly specialized. Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the good wishes and advice! That's a trick I usually use, but it's a little more difficult here, considering the authority level of these people - *but* I'm going to do my best to ignore that :)
