i have had an epiphany. the problem i have with my bosses/other people thinking they know english better than me, the native, or saying my english is too far away from the japanese, etc, comes from the japanese impression of english and what english is. and also about those loan words they use.

so, i have a few things: some stuff i made and some luminarie pictures.

i know most of you can't read japanese, but please click on this link so that you can see the picture of the person who won the contest. she is 52. i think. they played on shovels. in case you couldn't tell from the pic.

today, i had the headache of death all day. it would come and go, no matter how many drugs i took. grrr. but, despite that i was able to successfully give a speech about the fourth of july, titled 花火のなつかしさ. i spoke like a real person and didn't really get any japanese corrections except for when i said 行きだから and there are many problems in there ( Read more... )
