Fabric Project Needed

Apr 20, 2012 12:24

I need a fabric-based project to work on. Working with metal and vinyl and fiber clay is fun and all (HA HA HA yeeeeaaah...), but I miss sewing stuff and making regular fabric costumes. So I need something else to work on when I take a much-needed break from Gil-galad's never ending spray glue ( Read more... )

stop making costumes you don't need!, bff elrond, costuming, validate my choices internets!

OMG ALL THE ELRONDS...you must all wander the halls of D*Con and find someone dressed as Neo from The Matrix and intone on cue "Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson"

ALL THE PURPLE.

Because I like purple. The gold is pretty but I think you might have trouble finding other pictures of it since The Hobbit is still in production.

I do appreciate the still of the beautiful Rivendell set with the pine brace nailed to it. That made me LOL!

Yeah, some of those production photos are awesome with the partial set pieces and industrial studio in the background. AUTHENTICITY.

I've decided to go for the purple. I will be a purple Elrond at some point during DCon.

I guess Vilya's gonna get some wear then. No cheapass metal for you.

Oh, and Latunda says it's a go for the hairdressing, she just needs a schedule for when she needs to be where. I'm presuming that Gil-Galad won't be going out without his bodyguard, so Bree and the parade won't be a problem, but we'll need to schedule Elrond.

Dude, I will probably wear Vilya to work.

I usually make up my costume schedule a couple weeks beforehand, becuase I'm just cool like that and need to know exactly what I'm wearing when so I can make a packing spreadsheet in Excel (with formulas to double-ckeck numbers, and conditional formatting). So when I have that down I'll let you know and we can work out potential hairdressing times.
