I was wandering around LJ when I stumbled upon this post of yours. And I'm so glad that I did, because your rendition of the song is superb :D I have never come across this arrangement before though, did you come up with it by yourself?

Oh, thank you so much ♥

Prepare for a little spam since I'm a piano geek :')

This arrangement is not mine. (I have my original arrangements, true, my fave ones would be Arashi's Love Rainbow and Koiji sagashi from Smile)

The author of this one is Hirohashi Makiko who made arrangements for the majority of Relaxing Piano collections (you can listen to music previews here).

I'm a big fan of her. I have both Arashi collections, both Ghibli collections and I'll soon have a Disney one. So basically, all the work I do is writing the music down by ear, the closest possible to the original.

This particular track is from this CD:

Hirohashi-san is amazing. And she is basically my inspiration for creating a YouTube piano channel :') Currently I covered about 10 arrangements of hers from different albums. You can find them here :)

/end-of-spam XD

thanks for the extra info :)

I enjoy that original arrangement for Love Rainbow. Personally I'm not a big fan of the song but your piano version sounds really neat, makes me think maybe I should give the song some other listens :D

And yes, I actually have known for a long time now that you own a Youtube channel. I lurk there from times to times, but being the super lazy person that I am, I somehow always forget to leave a comment, gomen~ m(_ _)m

:)

I'm very biased for Love Rainbow, that's true. Not a fan of the PV (that doesn't even have a proper rainbow in it XD) but the song, yes, one of the ultimate favourites.

Oh, no no no, do not apologize, ok? I'll feel bad about it. After all, it's not about commenting, right? :) If this music could bring a smile to your face, then mischief's managed :)

Hi! Your birthday comment for Jun at arashi_on led me here. And I love this, particularly because Spirited Away is my second favorite Ghibli movie, second only to Totoro.

I don't know anything about playing the piano, but I must say that the music you played and the way you played it touched me immensely.

Thanks for sharing!

Awwwwwwwwww ♥ Youkoso! ♥

Spirited away would be my second favourite Ghibli as well, second to Mononoke-hime. Though it's really difficult to choose, I love Miyazaki-san's work in general.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment ♥ Made my day :')

PS I forgot to unlock some of the piano entries here on my LJ but you'll find all of them on my Youtube channel, if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/finanwenpiano

I'm planning more Hanadan releases soon :) And Ghibli, and Arashi too.
I'll be happy to share some piano magic around :')

Thanks! I'm now using the video playlist of Arashi covers as background music as I review for my exams (you're playing Believe now). :)

Oooh, I love Mononoke, too. I love Ghibli! I'll play that playlist next. :)

This reply is a bit belated but better late than never :)

Hope you're doing (did) well with your exams ♥

Ah, sadly enough, there's not enough Ghibli on that playlist! :) I meant to work on some Arrietty and Nausicaa for a long time now. Hopefully, there will be more covers :)
