It is FINALLY raining in New York City. And not just a wimpy drizzle either. Where was I when the storm rapidly approached? Trying to barbecue my dinner, where else? Luckily I finished just before the storm reached maximum strength and the lightening and thunder began in earnest. Right now we have all the windows open, cooling down the house. AH.

I love storms... And I think I see some poetic justice in watching a storm while eating barbeque. Thumbing your nose at the gods kind of stuff...

Wasn't it beautiful? Soren was leaning into the window, shouting with glee at each lightning bolt and sheet that lit the sky; I was watching him, them, and the way the room lit up.
