Happy Day After Crass Commercialism Day. While the holiday was not horrible (Ask me about Armstrong family holiday gatherings some day if you really want to know), I am glad the stress and memories that go with it are behind me for another year, or actually another 10 months when it starts all over again. I survived my first Christmas all by myself. The spousebeast had to work and, well, you know how good I am about asking for company, calls, emails. It was rougher than I expected. Having the kids not return my calls really got under my skin.

But I have given myself a break and am not going to start flogging the job search until after the 1st (seriously, what is the point?). The house is as tidy as it ever gets, thanks t TWO (!!!) visits from the landlord with architects, because he apparently thinks he can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I am spending this week folding laundry, reading, and binge watching Lost Girl. And organizing the kitchen.
