Christmas

It's hard for us here at Casa Colhoun. I feel a little guilty that it's the 23rd and I only have a wreath on the door up. No lights and no tree yet and I will only put them up for the benefit of my guests. It hasn't been the same since 2001, not without my Christmas nut here. Guilt isn't appropriate. You are entitled to have your feelings and it would be unreasonable for anyone to deny that your feelings are valid.

'Should' and 'ought' are words or sentiments we use against ourselves, and other people use to guilt us unreasonably. To celebrate when you aren't in the mood is to live a sham and I, for one, think the more for you that you don't subsume your real feelings to social pressure.
