I'm posting from Howard's iPad because we've lost Internet. We have partial power here. Mercifully, the refrigerator is still running and I found an outlet to plug in Howard's Cpap so we could both sleep. He snores like a demon without it. Mass transit is still right royally screwed with flooding on the subway lines and in the tunnels and bus

Yes, thanks. I spent Sunday night through Tuesday morning at the hospital catching hurricane babies (who midwifery lore has it will KNOW money in their lifetimes) and Starla held down the fort at home. The basement plumbing held tight and the family, cats, house, car are dry and safe.

I am stunned into silence with the photos of the devastation from Sandy. Those homes in Breezy Point.....I have no words.

I found out from MIL#1 that in-laws of Liam's cousins lost a house out at Breezy Point but they were not there. I am amazed how few deaths there have been and saddened by the deaths that did occur. This storm has really knocked us on our ass.
