Tonight's Casa Colhoun version of Wild Kingdom is the juvenile opossum chowing down on cat food on my front porch. I haven't seen opossums in my yard in quite a while so this little guy is making me quite joyful, something I badly needed after the things that happened today. A significant death there, too. When one sees only one side of a situation, so very much is missed. Balance of light and dark, life and death, sorrow and joy, that is what life is about for me. I've never been one to view life through the rose colored glasses or deny the pain that is sometimes in my life. Each has its own place.
