Going on tour

Tomorrow we're going to Åland for a brief visit. Then on monday we're heading south. We'll spend a day or three in blekinge and skåne to pick up a caravan and check out a possible job. More building of viking houses, it seems. Then we're off to Germany. There, if I'm lucky, I'll spend a ton of money on whisky. Port Ellen from '82 to be exact ( Read more... )

That? Is a nifty, nifty chain. Also, I dearly love the names of the places you're going to. It's so much fun to read and try to pronounce!

I do take orders for chains, you know? *nudge nudge, wink wink*

And just you wait until we go to Norway. Then I'll start dropping really weird names, no doubt.

Do you now? You know, I've been hankering for a chain to go with a little pendant I've had forever. The pendant itself isn't very great, but it's got some sentimental value, so.

Hmm, maybe something Celtic-y? Designs and pricings, let's talk hon.

And you know, I honestly do look forward to it for that reason. Also because I almost invariably look upon travel as an inherently good and mind-broadening activity. But mainly the funny names! :D

Celtic and viking-stuff is fairly similar, you know? Enough to often be confused.

About pricing, well, that depends on how long and how thick you want it. I'll charge for at least the silver and shipping, plus a li'l something for the work itself.

A King's chain (the one I linked to) is fairly thick, but how thick depends on the thickness of the thread used for the rings, and on how large I'll make the rings. I'll send you a photo of the one I have, myself, with something to compare it to so you can see for yourself.

I do have other styles as well. Best thing is if you can send me a photo of the pendant so I can see what'll work best.

Sounds great, I think you deserve a vacation considering what you've been through the last year. I hope Germany is nice, and good luck with the whiskey!

If you happen to be in the neighbourhood you are more than welcome to stop by for a beer or two. Bring some of the jewellery, I'm a bit curious about it.
