I have always wanted to see this. Is it as magnificent as it looks?

It has some great imagery but like a lot of Godard films, there is little to no plot. A group of students talking about fascism/communism/terrorism/revolution/philosophy/film/etc for an hour an half. It is worth it just for Juliet Berto's performance.

this looks awesome. I loved Breathless but didn't even get through Band of Outsiders...will this make me like Godard again?

I don't know if La Chinoise would necessarily make you a Godard fan. Though it does have great moments, I don't consider it one of his better films.

If you liked Breathless, try Pierrot le fou or Vivre sa vie.

I second the Pierrot le Fou recommendation!

it's been released officially in both the UK and in Japan... there's also an Australian release, but like most Australian releases, it's not totally legit.

region free players run the world.
