FenCon

Yesterday was the longest single driving day of my life. Seventeen hours in the car, starting at 7:00 a.m. Central and going until midnight. But at the end of the road was FenConA bunch of friends were there -- Tim, Russ, Tim, Rhonda -- along with some other nice folks, who whisked me and my stuff up to my room. And I already saw Heather Dale and ( Read more... )

How did you manage to drive that far in one day?!

I'm not sure what I'll be doing this weekend. The weather looks to be rainy and humid and hot and my AC is having issues. Since it's the last weekend of hot weather and it gets cool at night, I'll just live with it. I have a RPG game tomorrow I need to prepare. Will try to take it easy otherwise.

Having an old friend over for dinner tonight, but otherwise a quiet weekend, and I have to come to work for two hours, so not a totally relaxing one.

I was planning to go to Fencon -- I have my membership and room reservation and everything. Unfortunately what I thought was allergies appears to be turnning into a nasty cold, so I think I am going to skip it. I could probably soldier on, but I would hate to spread this crud around, so I'm going to offer my membership and room to a friend.

It might be a cold, or it could also be a weird virus that's been going around. It acts like a cold, but it the cough tends to want to linger. I'd say get to your doctor if you can and then get some Robitussen for the cough. I had the stuff for about a week, then my parents got it so it is contagious.

I thought it was allergies at first too btw.

Having had it I just thought I'd let you know about it. Get well soon and don't forget the chicken noodle soup. ;)

Wish I could be there, my dear. I'll be here celebrating my kiddo's birthday (34!) and maybe do a bit of sewing. *chunkyhugs*
