I don't take moral high ground advice from America's biggest santorum donor.

I listened to the 'hearing' for a while this AM. What a travesty. Issa tried to make it all about 1st amendment, but there were no constitutional experts on the panels, just pompous religious men.

I recommend reading http://www.aclu.org/files/assets/aclu_statement_for_2-16-12_oversight_hearing_final.pdf
for an excellent refutation of Issa's and his so-called panels' arguments.

I'm not even surprised by how often they conflate birth control pills and abortions, which is a neat trick considering the pill prevents conception so that there's nothing to abort.

I think, in that latter case, they call goaltending.

Considering that moving the goalposts is one of the things they're best at, yes, this exactly.

They do this by harkening back to the olden days when scientists weren't exactly positive about how the pill worked and one of the things they thought it did was make the uterus much less hospitable an environment for a fertilized egg - hence the "it causes abortions" moniker.

The sooner you remember that only rich, white, heterosexual men are actually people (oh, and fetuses too, but only until they're born) the happier you'll be.
