Thought You Knew (new song!) solarbird May 13 2010, 14:26:21 UTC
I have a new single - the first finished track off Dick Tracy Must Die! I'm gonna try the embed and hopefully it'll work so you can just click "play" if you want. It's called Thought You Knew:

...and LJ's having no part of it. Well, foo. Click here to play "Thought You Knew" by Crime and the Forces of Evil, a.k.a. me, off the upcoming album Dick Tracy Must Die. And yes, I made that extra long to try to feed the Googles. ^_^

It's not my own stuff, and it isn't free. But I found a wonderful new composing tool for multitracking. You give it midi notes, and it plays whichever of 1200 patterns and styles you select in that chord. Want a piano ballad in d# Maj7? Record that chord and run Catanya as a VST on the channel with that pattern selected and you've got it. I just started playing with it last night and it's fun!

On Wednesday I participated in the Torn World Muse Fusion, for which I wrote 2 poems and 4 stories. Of those, the 4 stories are still available for sponsorship; you can read about them here:

On Tuesday, I hosted the May Poetry Fishbowl, for which I wrote 17 poems on the theme of "teaching basic lessons." 5 of those have already been posted; you can read them here:

The remaining 12 are available for sponsorship; parents of small children may be particularly interested. These poems are briefly described in the "fishbowl open" post here:

If you enjoy reading poetry, keep an eye on my LJ for the next few days, as more of these will probably get sponsored and posted.
