Torn World Muse Fusion 5-12-10 Followup Report
Yesterday's Muse Fusion went well for me, although it was lower traffic because several of our regular folks couldn't make it. You can read the original "go" post if you want to see the original prompts over on torn_world. An official followup post should appear there eventually. This time we had 4 contributors, 7 prompters, and 44 comments; definitely a slowdown. In my own Muse Fusion post from yesterday, I lay out my approach these activities; I listed what I wrote, with descriptions and prices.
After a couple of shorter sessions earlier in the day, a long story nailed my butt to the chair, so I clocked 12 working hours. There was a lot of spread in length:
"Owlheart" -- story, 3 hr, 2,311 words, Buy It Now = $20
"At the Gate" -- poem, 15 min, 20 lines, freebie
"The Gaudy Eye" -- story, 45 min, 903 words, Buy It Now = $10
"The Flower Chant" -- poem, 45 min, 20 lines, Buy It Now = $6 OR 6 TW Credits OR 20 TW Karma SPONSORED by marina_bonomi
"The Acorn Coat" -- story, 30 min, 498 words, Buy It Now = $7
"Tokens of Affection" -- story, 1 hr, 739 words, Buy It Now = $10
"Squiggles and Squares" -- story, 4 hr 45 min, 4000+ words, not for sale yet.
I haven't had time to re-read any of these yet, so none have been polished or submitted to the Canon Board thus far.
Similarly, nothing has been sponsored so far. You may not get to see any more of this stuff than the freebie poem ("At the Gate") unless you are a Torn World supporter.
