Air Quality Action Day!

Well, this was perhaps being stupid by trying to be good. The signs along the Belt/Southern Parkway said that today was an Air Quality Action Day, and that we should carpool or use mass transit. We get those every time the temperature rises above 90 degrees here. They used to be called "ozone alerts" or something inane.

*snicker* When I read the first couple of sentences of your post, what was at the front of my brain was, "Geez, Louise...it's over 90°F here today...sure hope it's better where he's at, or he'll gack while trying to save the environment!"

It wasn't that bad at 8 this morning when I rode in. I may well drop dead on the way back, though.

The way I see it, if you are exercising vigorously, you are supposed to be hot, so it's OK. It's when you are just standing there and feel hot that there is a problem. So the answer to hot weather is exercise! Or, possibly, I'm just weird.
