Nice! I have to admit, if my wife would let me buy another guitar (and live), I would get a Les Paul. I currently have a very nice strat (50th anniversary American Deluxe) and an SG, and an Ibanez AW120 acoustic.
Heh, and I keep looking at a Strat. That said, I want to wait 'til I can play the guitars I have better before I spend more money on new ones. (Although there's this gorgeous Taylor 12-string over at Sam Ash...)
I got my Gibson Epiphone on Ebay as well. For (believe it or not) $100.00. The picture the vendor ran of it was horrible, and it made the finish look beat to snot. So no bids. You can imagine the happy dance I did when it arrived and I unpacked it to discover a near pristine axe. That and the Crate I picked up at my electronics repair person's place for $50.00 was really neat (someone had turned it in for repair and never retrieved it, it sat for several months).
ooooh, nice. toys toys toys. Which guitars are you bringing to GAFilk?
And don't worry about spamming us with pictures ... if you gots big ones or multiples, just put them behind cuts and let people decide if they want to click or not.
doesn't it have too many strings and what are those metal bids on the fingerboard?
:-P
I'm glad you got aa good buy of ebay, I'm not sure about buying guitars I've never played. I once was eying up a fretless acoustic bass I say on holiday. I walked past the shop everyday for a week and finally wentr in to buy it. I played it for 20 minutes in the shop and hated it. Saved myself a couple hundred quid.
I was really leary of it, myself -- this is the only guitar I've bought that I haven't played first. But the price was right and I figured I could take a chance.
Besides, I was willing to spring for a decent setup on it.
