Starting to say goodbye to Europe

I'm deep in go-live, scoping, and working on my next project and having to pack up my apartment. Having to pack up my apartment is the big thing, really. That's what tells me that I'm moving back to New York, that I'm leaving London.

I'm most surprised by your comment that the pace of life in London is "probably crazier than New York." Can you elaborate? The Tube still shuts down at night, right? It's been 15 years and more since I've wandered around London, but it always felt far more...settled...that you get in a city that's existed for millenia rather than just centuries.

Good on you for making those opportunities to spend time in Europe work out!

New York is hectic but constant. In some ways, London has the same total level of activity, but it's all concentrated into the time that the Tube is open.

And Londoners walk faster than New Yorkers.
