Woke up to the morning's email that UK filker keristor died in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon as he was on his way home.

I'll have more to say on this once it's sunk in, but...

Dammit.

Keris was a great guy; intelligent, funny, helpful. His death is a big loss, not only to his family and friends, but also to the filk community.

'Fuck' was by far and away the most polite thing I said.

I only knew him on a fannish basis (I'd pretty much left filkdom by the time he joined) but he was such a nice, helpful, kind and talented man, it's such a shame.

And I don't like to see so many of my friends so upset too.
