Many thanks to dougs for this picture of keristor's funeral. I'd have been there myself if it were possible; it warms my heart to see how many of his friends were able to make it.

I've been reading a lot of the tributes and stories that our mutual friends have shared about Keris, all the little thousands of little things he did for people (and always, as a friend put it so aptly, with the feeling he gave that you were doing him a favour by letting him do this for you).

Woke up to the morning's email that UK filker keristor died in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon as he was on his way home.

I'll have more to say on this once it's sunk in, but...

Dammit.

Keris was a great guy; intelligent, funny, helpful. His death is a big loss, not only to his family and friends, but also to the filk community.
