Woman walking by the store, carrying baby, to her three year old daughter:
"It's just a bunch of books."

If someone is that stupid, I'm not entirely sure I'd want to burden your friend with their business. Just what were they expecting?

Also, no such thing as "just" a bunch of books. I suppose I'd be wasting my breath, though.

Acceptable only if the three year-old was afraid of something in the window/street (like the shadows the books cast, or the old dusty covers, or something).

If that wasn't the case... *weeps for the children*
