How and when do we plan to act regarding the current crisis? It's clear to all, I think, that this is not going to simply blow over. The people need to hear some sort of voice to reassure them that action is being taken - every day of uncertainty that passes makes things worse ( Read more... )

It's barely bordering political.

These people want a war, that is what I'm gathering from it.

Is another meeting too strenuous for everyone involved? I think we need to put down solid facts and build a bigger picture. Either that or we gather it here.

I have a feeling it's going to be more like a Video Conference.

It might be, but lives are at stake.

I will certainly attend a meeting, or even some sort of video conference if we can arrange it. But the sooner the better. We're losing time.

Me, Leon and Ukitake've already decided that if things look like they're gonna spread beyond a few people being pissed at each other, we're gonna put the bastard behind it down. We should probably repair the damage done by that last fight and see about putting together some sort of defense group for people that can't fight for themselves yet or just don't have the raw power to stand up to the sorts of people we've got running around pulling crap. I'm willing to lead that, if people're behind it.

If it comes down to all out war, though, putting an end to it might be the only way we can make sure everyone's safe.

Yeah. I was thinking we could fix up one of the abandoned warehouses. Actually, I was also wondering if you could help me out with this. Last time I tried organizing something, only a couple people listened. You wanna help me run this?

I'm afraid it looks like more than one person going around starting things. Envy, Uchiha, that fellow Samaren - sometimes you wish that these people who clearly want trouble would just keep that trouble between themselves, but that is never going to be the case.

There is a coordinated attack behind this, Ryuubi-san. The actual violence is just a facade. This is running deeper, as Saul-san's intervention proves.

I am unsure that there is anything I can do or say at this point. But let it be known that I do not care about honors or a position of authority. My own status is nothing, as long as I can continue healing and helping people.

If that is so, then it's much more troubling than the violence itself. People do things in chaotic times that they'd never think to do, if they were safe and content.

You're already doing plenty, ma'am. It's my hopes that we'll be able to come up with some arrangement that would allow you the space and peace of mind to continue your work.

I have warned several people about this, but my main intention right now is to make sure retaliation does not come for this latest bout of meaningless violence.

I am usnure for now about how to deal with what seems to be a defamation campaign, against both my people and the shinobi of Konoha.

It's unfortunate that you can't make people listen. I'd say maybe now they would start, but it should not have come to this.

... if I might make a radical suggestion, ma'am. This man who goes about trying to discredit you is suggesting that you, as a group, are capable of decisive action and simply aren't taking it. Maybe it won't hurt the people of the city to hear that, no, you - we don't currently possess the raw power to stop troublemakers? It's a difficult concession to make, I know, to admit that we cannot provide the protection we'd like to. But if we can't, then it's best we say so.

As far as action, what about simply being more open?

In what sense? You mean us, as a group?
