[Locked to Roy's crew//unhackable]

How and when do we plan to act regarding the current crisis? It's clear to all, I think, that this is not going to simply blow over. The people need to hear some sort of voice to reassure them that action is being taken - every day of uncertainty that passes makes things worse ( Read more... )

Me, Leon and Ukitake've already decided that if things look like they're gonna spread beyond a few people being pissed at each other, we're gonna put the bastard behind it down. We should probably repair the damage done by that last fight and see about putting together some sort of defense group for people that can't fight for themselves yet or just don't have the raw power to stand up to the sorts of people we've got running around pulling crap. I'm willing to lead that, if people're behind it.

If it comes down to all out war, though, putting an end to it might be the only way we can make sure everyone's safe.

Yeah. I was thinking we could fix up one of the abandoned warehouses. Actually, I was also wondering if you could help me out with this. Last time I tried organizing something, only a couple people listened. You wanna help me run this?

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna be there.

Thanks. Something like this'd be best with two heads working ideas out, anyway.

It's a sound idea, and should be pursued. We'll need the confidence of the community if we want it to be effective, if we want people to come to us - we'll need trust. Trust is as important here as power.

Yeah. Last time I tried to organize something like this, not a lot of people replied. Probably 'cause I'm so young. *While he was always serious at the major meetings, he'd never told anyone how old he really was.*

Or probably because some of us are not of the mindset of "put the bastard behind this down."

No one stays dead here, and death's cost is not always worth the effort to take down the "bastard." Others will lose their lives if you attempt an offensive, and we don't have the means to hold all of the troublemakers if we get them to the point that we can imprison them.

Everyone wants action too quickly.

Pardon my saying, Mr. Kakashi, but this is not necessarily about action - we need to be thinking about these things, considering our options. It's regrettable that we are only doing so in response to these happenings.

I never actually said kill. There's other ways of stopping someone. People think they can get away with this kind of crap because nobody's doing anything to prevent it.

When did I say I wanted to do this right away? By the point I was talking about, we'd have a war on our hands one way or the other. If we're gonna be fighting anyway, we should end it quickly so fewer people get killed instead of staying on the defensive while a bunch of war hungry bastards pick us off every time we blink.

What good will killing someone do? Putting them down could result in them returning with a complete loss of sanity or self control. Or anything that helps keep them from going out and killing others.

Defense is one thing. Attacking will only lead to more repurcussions and a war, which is what they want. It would be foolish.

Not necessarily killing, just showing 'em that they can't get away with whatever they want.

I said if it's going to spread anyway. If we can stop it without people getting hurt, I'm all for it, but it might turn into a full out war without us doing a damn thing.

Perhaps evacuation plans and a safehouse or two would not be amiss?

I was already thinking a safehouse. A second one would have to depend on how many people were available to guard them. More than one means that fewer people get hurt if one goes down, but it's also harder to guard efficiently.

One would be sufficient if it is both large enough and close enough for various individuals to get to should the need arises, but I shall of course leave such decisions to you and offer what help that I can~!

We might wanna set up a backup even if we can't protect two at once, though. Somewhere only people we trust know about to take people if the first one's attacked.
