PART ONE

Jin had been watching the entire scene from distance, his eyes glued on Kazuya’s form and his palms fisting every time Koki had touched him. He had been on the verge of going there and making a scene - yet another one - when he had realized that the other one won’t stop and that his lover had no intention to stop him either. He honestly didn’t know what had made him hesitate - maybe the sight of an already beaten up Koki or maybe Ueda’s piercing eyes which had been studying him the whole time the two friends had talked. Or, most likely, it had been Kazuya’s tears which had made him realize that he would only hurt the boy even more if he did such a cruel thing again.

So Jin had forced himself to restrain his urge of killing Koki for his overly affectionate side and had remained behind, watching them and imagining different ways of making the other one pay for touching Kazuya like that. Luckily, it hadn’t lasted for long and Jin took a deep breath when he saw his lover coming back, the smile returning to his lips but disappearing in the next second as it hadn’t been strong enough to last.

“Sorry to have kept you waiting.” Kazuya said as soon as he approached Jin, rubbing his eyes a little. “We can go now...” he added, not wanting to linger any longer or he’ll look back and he’ll want to stay with them, he’ll want to be there and laugh with them, he’ll want to go back to the time before he had met Jin. He’ll want to cast aside this feeling of abandon that kept piercing his heart.

Jin didn’t say anything and just smiled at Kazuya, not allowing the younger to know any of his real feelings. He just acted normal as he turned to the wheel and started the engine, driving to Kazuya’s mother’s city. It was a long drive and the two of them spent it in silence, each one with his own thoughts - Kazuya with anxiousness and uncertainness in his heart, while Jin was preoccupied with the feelings of fear and jealousy and maybe - just maybe - a little hope for the future after this meeting.

He finally stopped the car after a five-hours-road, parking the car in front of a house which seemed to be deserted and turning to look at Kazuya. The place surrounding them was empty, only a few houses could be seen and they all seemed abandoned. The whole neighborhood seemed dirty and populated by people who were fugitives of the law that were trying to hide there. A few men were posted in front of the house that they had stopped at and Kazuya could only guess that they were Jin’s men, as he could easily suspect that there were others in the house too.

“Are you okay?” Jin asked, looking concerned at Kazuya and trying to read him.

Kazuya turned his head and his face was white like a sheet, but the voice was strong and determined. “Yes.” He simply replied, thinking that if he said anything more, then he’d spill out all of their breakfast.

“Don’t worry, I’m here with you.” Jin smiled and leaned close to Kazuya to give him a peck on the lips, getting out of the car after that and circling it to also open the door for his lover. “Come on.” He added, entwining his hand with the younger’s and gently pulling him on the footway towards the house. He nodded to the two men and opened the door, closing it behind them and leading Kazuya to another door only to stop in front of it.

The house seemed to be as abandoned as the outside looked like, lacking the furniture and stuff needed to survive into a decent environment. The only things that could he found there were a few chairs and a table in the living room that they passed by on their way to the room where they’d find Kazuya’s mother. Most of them were still dusty and it was obvious that no one had been living there for a long time. There were bags everywhere with remains of food, thrown all over the house without caring what damage they might provoke.

“Ready?” Jin asked with a low and unsure voice, squishing Kazuya’s hand into his as he looked at the younger.

His mother was here?! Kazuya couldn’t believe it and he could hear his heart hammering against his ribs, trying to get out, trying to run away from what he himself had agreed to. Although he didn’t really want to see his nightmare in flesh and bones, somehow, he knew that he needed to go and meet her, otherwise he won’t be able to move on. Once he had agreed to give up drugs, he might as well face his demons and try to lead a clean and peaceful life. One he had craved for since he had gotten away from the hell he had been living into. And now… now he was one step away from gaining it - with Jin by his side.

Kazuya looked up at Jin, fear clearly expressed in his big and brown eyes. A slight grip over his shoulder and the younger saw how the door in front of him opened, revealing an empty room except for the woman who was tied to a chair placed in the middle. The light suddenly shone on her and she lifted her face now deprived of the beauty Kazuya had once admired. The woman that had once been his mother looked nothing like her. Her face was gaunt and her once long hair was a mass of tangled locks weighing over her skinny shoulders. Her eyes looked hallow and there was no spark of recognition when she looked at Kazuya, her mouth lopsided in a hideous smile.

The younger noticed that her dress was more of a ragged cloth and that her once beautiful and desirable body was nothing but a sack of bones and skin over it. Was she the woman who haunted his dreams and crumbled his world each time he’d close his eyes? It was impossible. There wasn’t even a trace of the beautiful woman that had once been his mother. The one in front of him, lifeless, dirty and bruised was… Wait a second, bruised?! Kazuya turned to look at Jin and although his body was trembling and clammed with sweat, he still managed to voice out his shock.

“Why is she covered in bruises?”

“She has been beaten by a lot of people.” Jin answered, half trying to maintain his gentle tone to encourage Kazuya, half wanting to show his disdain and hate towards the woman that gave birth to his lover. “She had had a rough life since you left from her.” He added, not sounding a little bit like he was regretting it.

Kazuya looked back at her and there was pity in his eyes, but worst of all, there was hope. Did she - perhaps - miss him? Involuntarily, he took a step towards her and there was a spark in her dark eyes as she flinched and leaned quickly against the chair, as if she was searching for protection. This simple movement pierced Kazuya’s heart. This woman wasn’t the monster in his dreams anymore… she was a pitiful soul.

“Mother…” he whispered the name he had said so many times, but this was the one time there wasn’t fear in it, but gentleness and pity. “It’s me… Kazuya.”

At his words, she narrowed her eyes and seemed to search the younger with them. She shook her head and there was a loud cackle, thing which scared Kazuya. “You’re not my son!” she suddenly said and looked at him fiercely. The boy stood rooted to his spot. “Kazuya is …gone.”

The younger blinked and he looked at Jin confused, not knowing what she was meaning.

Jin only sighed, not wanting anything more than to shut that woman up once and for all. “As I said, she had a bad time and decided to look for you at some point. I don’t know, maybe she thought she could use you as before. She didn’t know where else to go than your father’s and he told her to stop looking for you because you’re dead. That she killed you.” He explained, looking the whole time at Kazuya and being attentive at his reaction, deciding to not share that piece of information that could have changed everything.

His parents met after he had been gone from there?! Kazuya’s eyes widened at the news, somewhat unbelievable. He gulped and closed his eyes, feeling all of a sudden sick. Maybe this was why his father didn’t ask him to come and visit him… because she might have loitered around, searching for him. There was a small chuckle from his side as he turned to look at his mother, a sad and gentle expression on his face.

“You looked for Kazuya?” he asked, knowing that the woman won’t recognize him as her son.

She bared her half rotten teeth and the chair rattled with her wild movement. “Why should I answer you?!” she asked and Kazuya could sense the tone she would always use with clients that didn’t suit her taste anymore. Even if she was unrecognizable, the mother he once knew was still inside her. But seeing her like this… he realized that she couldn’t touch or hurt him the way she had done before.

“I want to know.” Kazuya replied using a soft voice, trying to soothe the bristling woman. “I’m sure Kazuya would have wanted to know too if you did or not search for him.” He continued, taking another step towards her. Again, she pulled back and the frightened expression made its way back. What an irony. The woman that had been frightening him until this very day was now showing the same fear Kazuya had felt, though on different bases.

“Really?” She asked and there was an inaudible whimper, but Kazuya sensed it.

“Yes, Kazuya would have wanted to know.” He reassured her with a smile. “Don’t fear me, I won’t hurt you.” The younger added and lifted his hands up as if he was trying to show her that he won’t touch her either, he just wanted to talk with her.

And for once… Kazuya realized that he had indeed been craving to talk with his mother, to ask her why did she do all those things to him, why didn’t she love him and why didn’t she behave like a mother should behave? He had so many questions to ask her, he had so many things he wanted to complain about and now he felt that it was his chance. He might even get away from his horrible past or at least he will finally deal with it and move on. Now he could ask her… even if he was just a stranger in her eyes.

“Jin.” Kazuya said without looking at his lover, his eyes never wavering in front of his mother. He had studied that people with mental disorder would act like animals - if you blink or even back away a moment, they would fear you and attack you. And he wanted her trust now, he wanted to know her reasons. “Untie her.” He asked the older, knowing that he was exposing himself to risk, but he felt no fear no more… he had Jin with him.

Jin would have wanted to protest, but the same thought was on his mind too - he would be there to protect him even if his mother would ever go ballistic on him. So he obeyed the younger’s request, untying the woman and setting her free, taking one step back afterwards to let them talk and not taking his eyes off of her one moment.

Kazuya smiled sweetly and the woman quickly brought her hands to rub together, feeling the wrists sore. “Can you tell me why did you search for Kazuya?” the boy asked, his voice steady and clear. Kazuya chose to ignore the loud thumping of his heart in his ear, also the fear that was clawing at him mercilessly.

The woman eyed him suspiciously, then her gaze shifted to Jin but quickly turned away sensing the older one’s hatred towards her. She chose to look only at Kazuya for the moment. “I needed him.” She answered, her voice rasp and so different from the days Kazuya heard it seducing men. “He was the only one to be there for me… he was my baby.”

And this sole answer broke Kazuya’s heart into pieces. Then why did she hurt him the way she had done? Why did she sell him to men? He wanted to ask, but if he were to give in to his emotions, he’d ruin everything. “Do you regret what you did to him?” The boy asked and her eyes flared, but he didn’t back away. Anyway, she was still tied to her fear of him even if she had agreed to answer him.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She answered, but Kazuya knew she was clearly lying. The way her eyes were moving from one side to another, the way she fumbled with her fingers threatening to break them one by one and the way her lower lip kept twitching… all of these were signs of her lying. And in the past, she had lied so magnificently. She had been the best from the liars.

“Nobody’s going to do you anything.” Kazuya stretched his hand to stop her fumbling hands. His mother’s eyes widened at the action. She was shocked and Kazuya couldn’t say he wasn’t too - he hadn’t expected himself to have the courage to even talk to her, let aside touch her. “Just answer with yes or no.” Kazuya encouraged her, passing his thumb over her spotted hands.

The woman looked with a trembling lip at him and her eyes closed. “I… I might have been wrong at some point… but I didn’t want to hurt him. He was all I had left and I loved his sweet looking face, almost like a girl.” She smiled at the last words and opened her eyes, now sparkling with something weird - the madness in her. The one Kazuya had never noticed as a child.

The younger’s stomach clenched when she said the word girl and he realized that his mother had seen him as a girl even before her clients pointed this up. “And do you regret doing such things?” Kazuya insisted, hating the fleeting quiver he felt in his voice.

“How do you know such things, young boy?” She asked with a sudden interest that made Kazuya sigh in his mind.

“I was a friend of Kazuya’s.” he replied quickly and gave a smile, as if he was trying to assure her that everything was alright and that he didn’t judge her. “And he told me about his past and… you.”

But the pause he made had been a mistake because his mother flung her arms into air, scratching Kazuya by mistake on the back of the hand that had been holding hers. “He’s lying! Whatever he said, he’s lying and I didn’t do anything bad to him!!” she said with a high-pitched voice and pointed her finger at Kazuya that was now lying on the floor and looking up at her with big and round eyes. “You! You’re trying to make me look like a monster, but I would never hurt my son, not my sweet and lovely boy!!” she continued and shook her head uncontrollably, her hand still outstretched towards Kazuya.

“I - “ The younger wanted to say, but there was nothing his mind could come up with. But he had to take control over himself, he had to open his eyes and see that while his mother might have brain damage, she was still his mother and would still hurt him.

But hope gets you blind sometimes and you simply fall without realizing the consequences.

Kazuya rose from the floor and took a deep breath before trying to talk with his mother again. Somehow, he felt that it was futile to continue any further, but he felt that he had to, otherwise his mind won’t be at peace. He got closer to her again and he closed her hand in his palm, pressing gently over it. “But you did something to him, right?” Kazuya asked with a soothing voice.

She looked at him with narrowed and mean eyes. “What do you know?” she said with a hushed voice, but it was plainly clear that she was showing disdain towards Kazuya.

Yet, the younger didn’t seem baffled by such versatile emotions. He had come to realize that his mother was the same and that time hadn’t changed her at all. But it did change him and now he had found the strength to face her, to talk with her. After so long… “Do you regret it?” Kazuya asked again and this time his eyes weren’t warm anymore, they steeled against her mean being.

She pulled her hand from under Kazuya’s one and let it fall in her lap as her eyes never left his. “No.” There was a small and faint smile, but it was cruel and her voice was empty. Kazuya was no longer hurt because of her words; he had fallen at first, but now he was climbing up and fast.

“Do you know who I am?” The younger asked and he kind of feared the answer to his question. If… then he had been a fool until the end, he had hoped until the end when his mother had once again crushed it without battling one eyelash.

She looked straight at him and the way she straightened in the chair made Kazuya’s hair stand on the back of his nape. He knew before she’d answer. “You’re Kazuya.” She replied with a full smile, the mean gleam and the suffocating aura overwhelming him.

And it crushed with deaf sound. Kazuya closed his eyes and he tried to fight back all of his emotions coming back and gnawing at him unceasingly. She had played him all along, she had taken him for a fool, she had taken advantage of his hope, she had never changed and he was still her puppet. Maybe her looks changed, but her soul never did and seeing it so bluntly put, Kazuya felt like crying, laughing and shouting in the same time. He turned his back on her and opened his eyes, looking at Jin with a hurt expression. Although his mouth didn’t say anything, he was silently asking for help.

Take me out of here. Take me away from her.

He was pleading Jin with his whole being. But his mother had to cut through him once more, had to make him bleed until he would feel the numbness as before.

“Are you going to leave me again?” She asked, her voice as sweet as honey and Kazuya rooted to the spot. “After all these years, you’re going to leave your poor mother all alone? Kazuya… you aren’t like this, are you? Come and live again with me. We can start everything all over.” She continued, sounding quite excited over such a thing. “You and me… like in the old times.”

And Kazuya might have said yes, mother if she hadn’t mentioned old times, if she hadn’t mocked him like he was some stupid child, unable to defend himself. Because old times for her meant prostitution of her son - her sweet and lovely boy. Kazuya gulped and continued to stare at Jin, his only anchor at the moment. His only way to live through life, to move on.

“No.” He answered finally, his voice sounding hoarse. “Those times are over.”

His mother laughed madly behind him and Kazuya felt the need to run and hide himself in Jin’s arms. But he didn’t do it, he stayed there, his vision focused on the older. “I see. You’re with that boy over there?” she asked and the younger knew she was referring to Jin. “You got yourself sorted out quite alright. I guess being with me served you very well, no, Kazuya?” She cackled a little and Kazuya could sense her adjusting on the chair with the dignity she had left. “Did you show him everything I taught you? Have you told him that you like it better when you’re blindfolded? Or that you prefer it quick, harsh and wild?” His mother asked and Kazuya turned white as a sheet again.

He couldn’t win against her and even if Jin was there, he was still weak against her. Because she knew him the best, because she knew all that he had done.

“Or have you changed, Kazuya?” She asked and Kazuya turned just in time to see her standing up from her chair and tilting her head, wearing a smile as ugly as her face. “You’re no longer momma’s boy?” She purred and there was a mocking aura all around her. No, not mocking - evil aura.

“I never was.” Kazuya replied, now truly facing her. “And you don’t have any right to talk this way about Jin.” He continued, feeling somehow enraged by her words.

Her mother narrowed her eyes maliciously. “Oh, Jin? So you’re in love with him? Does he fuck you right at least? As your mother, I’m concerned over your sexual life, you know that, right?” She chuckled, irony in each of her words.

“Shut up.” Kazuya said on a small voice, fisting his palms and narrowing his eyes. There was fury in his body and his mother noticed this with a smile.

“I didn’t catch that, dear. Did Jin not know about your ways before you two met? Don’t tell me he doesn’t know about you being fucked up by other men?!” She laughed but the laughter died quickly at Kazuya’s reaction.

“SHUT UP!” the younger shouted, now trembling with fury. Although Jin had known all of these, had seen him with other men… somehow, Kazuya didn’t want him to hear all of these from his mother’s mouth. He didn’t want to have Jin know such a horrible past as his, he didn’t want to have Jin think even worse than he had already been because of his troubles with drugs and his means to get it.

But he had forgotten something and that being the single thing his mother didn’t tolerate - someone telling her to shut up. So, with two fast steps, she got close and slapped Kazuya across the face, her nails scratching his right cheek. “Don’t you ever tell me to shut up, you ungrateful child!” she yelled and Kazuya backed off, shocked to do anything. Her slap burned on his face.

“Kazuya.” Jin’s whisper resounded in the silence of the room. He didn’t say anything else and didn’t interfere in their discussion, as he thought that it was best if Kazuya faced her alone. Still, this didn’t mean that he couldn’t remind the younger that he was there with him, so Jin just smiled gently when Kazuya turned his head to look at him, telling him without words that he’ll be fine and that he trusted Kazuya.

“Oh, how lovely! You take orders from him? Or does he protect you from me? What a gentle pimp you’ve gotten for yourself.” She mocked both Kazuya and Jin, barely sparing a glance to the latter. “But at least, he’s handsome. I’m sure you’re feeling relieved when you look at his face and you see a fresh, beautiful and young one rather than one wrinkled and ugly, no?” She laughed and enjoyed even more the shocked and ashamed expression on Kazuya’s face.

“Those were all those men you forced upon me.” Kazuya said, confronting her.

“And you disliked it?” His mother cocked an eyebrow and gave a shrilly laugh. “Don’t make fun of me, Kazuya. I was there all the time. You were moaning and writhing under them like a bitch in heat. So don’t give me bullshit that you didn’t enjoy it or that you disliked it!”

“I was nine when you brought that odious man in my room and helped him rape me!!” Kazuya shouted and there were tears in his eyes, but his mother didn’t take notice or simply ignored them. “How could I have liked such an atrocious thing?!”

“Oh, shut up! For everyone it hurts at first!” She dismissed Kazuya’s pain with a wave of her hand. “Besides, I let you fuck me after, right? With your tiny little dick you entered back from where you came, so don’t complain ‘cause I soothed you after!” She continued with an accusing finger, making Kazuya’s insides coil because of disgust and shame.

“Even that… you forced yourself upon me!” Kazuya replied, feeling his heart beating faster and bleeding. “How many times have I told you to stop? To not do such things, to not hurt me?!” He seemed to ask with a begging voice, one that his mother brushed dismissively with a laugh.

“Don’t and stop are just words, Kazuya. I told you already, didn’t I? They mean nothing in front of the body’s language. And your body had spoken way before you even said those words!” She retorted and got closer to Kazuya. “Would you like your old mother to show you this body language you seem to have forgotten?” She asked and stretched her hand to touch briefly Kazuya’s chest. “And maybe your pretty pimp here might want to join us too.” She added with a smile, though the effect was off since half of them were rotten or gone.

Yet Kazuya didn’t see this. He was seeing the beautiful woman from his nightmares, the whore that had destroyed his life. And when he felt her touch, he couldn’t help but shudder and close his eyes in disgust. He was slowly lulled in his past and the web he was caught only made him weak.

“See? You’re enjoying it and you’re not even saying anything.” She said and her voice was a spell cast on the child inside him. But Kazuya was awake and he wasn’t going to let the witch fool him that she was a mermaid. She wasn’t - not anymore.

“Enjoying it?” He scoffed and grabbed her tiny wrist, twisting it a little and making her gasp in pain. “When the heck did I enjoy your touches, old hag?” Kazuya asked and leaned forward, bringing his face close to hers. “I threw up each time after you had your way with me. You were disgusting. I didn’t stand to touch you or to have you touching me.” He continued, venom on his tongue and hatred on his face. “No wonder Dad left you.”

She looked a bit taken aback but after his last sentence, an evil smile made way. “Oh. You still think Kento left us?” She cackled excited. “Poor baby Kazuya, even now he doesn’t know the truth.” She patted his cheek, though it stayed there and dug her nails in the smooth flesh. On that cheek there was the scar Jin had given him.

“What truth?” Kazuya asked, decided to not back down, not when he was finally standing on the same level with his mother. “You can’t lie to me anymore, I won’t believe you.”

“Oh! But this is not a lie!” She laugh with joy and evilness. “It’s quite the truth, the sensation if you want to call it this way!” she continued and her eyes sparkled with maliciousness. “Your father…” Her nails dug deeper and slowly went down on the cheek, leaving red traces behind, some even budding blood. “… is a criminal.” She finally announced and pulled herself away from Kazuya who looked like he had been hit by a lightening.

No, it wasn’t possible. His father wasn’t a murderer. He just betrayed his family, he didn’t kill anyone. Right? Kazuya turned around and looked at Jin - Right, Jin?! He seemed to ask, but how would Jin know? So he turned again at his mother, not seeing the guilty expression Jin had.

“You’re bluffing.” Kazuya said to his mother and shook his head. Why should he believe the whore? No, he better shouldn’t. But… there was something tugging at his heart. What was this uneasy feeling and why did he suddenly remember the sound of some gunshots and then the police’s sirens? No, he was imagining things. Yeah, like when someone tells something you didn’t really feel or see and your unconscious creates images or sounds to form a memory. But in reality it’s a fake memory because you have never heard nor did such a thing. That’s right, his mind was playing with him; he had learnt that in classes.

“Believe what you want, dear. I ain’t telling you any lie.” His mother shrugged nonchalantly, totally enjoying Kazuya’s turmoil.

“I won’t believe you! You’re a whore and a liar, I won’t trust your words!” Kazuya shouted and made her startle. But soon her expression changed and she went close to him again and began to hit him.

“You don’t have any right to call me a whore when you yourself were one!” She slapped him over the face on the right cheek, then on the left cheek. “I didn’t raise you to be such an impertinent little slut!” she continued and slapped him some more. “You spineless, worthless…”

SLAP!

And this stopped her as she fell to the floor, her cheek burning from where Kazuya had hit her back. Mother looked up at her son and there was hate in her eyes.

“You didn’t raise me at all.” Kazuya replied, his hand aching because of the way he had hit her. “You just used me as your pocket. I might have been a whore but that’s entirely your fault - your product.” He accused her and looked at her with harsh eyes. Then he turned his back on her and looked at Jin. “I want to go home, I’m tired.” The younger said and sighed a little.

But as he made a step towards his lover, he had barely time to even notice the angry shout, let aside his mother who grabbed the chair, ready to knock him with it. But Jin was there and he had been watching them the whole time, waiting for the moment when his mother would collapse as he knew she would. And when he finally saw her lifting the chair, everything seemed to happen in a flash as Jin got between them and covered Kazuya from her hit and catching the boy into a hug. He didn’t wait for the second hit though as he immediately turned himself to face her, grabbing the chair from her hands and using his other hand to hit her with the back of his palm, sending her to the floor and into another chair.

“You filthy bitch.” Jin hissed, obviously more annoyed than ever as he took a step towards her, his intentions clearly written in his eyes.

Kazuya turned too, just in time to stop Jin from fulfilling his desire. “Are you okay?” he asked as he clung onto his arm and looked at him worried, his other hand touching softly his back. “Leave her alone, she doesn’t deserve it.” He then added as he looked at the dirty form that was his mother. “Let her go… I don’t know her anymore.” Kazuya said and pulled gently at Jin, wanting to leave that place as quickly as possible.

Jin seemed to disagree with Kazuya but he chose in the end to throw the chair from his hands and possessively put an arm around Kazuya’s waist, turning them around and leaving the place without sparing a glance at the frightened woman.

“How are you feeling?” Jin asked as soon as they were back into the car. He didn’t care about anything else, about the house or that woman or what were his men going to do with her. He had given them the ok to do whatever they wanted after this and this was all Jin wanted to know. The only thing that mattered was Kazuya, Jin thought as he looked at the younger and cupped his cheek, caressing it gently.

Kazuya closed his eyes and enjoyed the touch. “Horrible.” He answered with a feeble voice. “She really fooled me at first, I thought -” he continued though he stopped midway, feeling stupid. “I should have known better that people like her don’t change, I guess I wanted it too much.” The younger gave a fade smile and opened his now teary eyes. “I guess in the end… I wanted a mother to love me as a real mother would do.” He said with a broken voice and closed his eyes again, tears sliding down from under his closed lids, Kazuya finally letting the child in him weep at his free will. He had been suppressing him for far too long.

“Shh…” Jin whispered with a gentle voice as he softly wiped Kazuya’s tears and leaned close to kiss his closed eyes. “You don’t need anyone else.” He continued and smiled as he caught Kazuya into a hug. “I’m here and I’m the only one you need.” Jin added, feeling like he could crush the younger in his embrace but still keeping it light and soft and giving Kazuya the chance to feel like he was not bound to anything.

Kazuya sighed and he hugged Jin back, really feeling like he was the one he needed right now. “Take me away from here.” He said and clung to Jin helplessly. “Take me home…”

“As you wish.” Jin said and kissed him again on the forehead.

Everything was going to be fine. Because no matter what happened in Kazuya’s past, happens in his present or will happen in his future, Jin will always be with him from now on.

And it was all they both needed.

For now.
