I think you're maybe being a bit hard on yourself!

I always think of a fair weather rider as someone who won't venture out because it looks a bit like rain... Not venturing out in hellish conditions that neither human nor horse will enjoy is probably just common sense! No matter how frustrating it is not to be able to ride...
