I just posted a fund-raising thing on facebook for my trip to Africa.. and I'm already embarrassed.

I'll begin contacting close friends tomorrow.. but I can't help feeling like I'm harassing them. Sigh.

This sucks... I hope I raise enough to pay some teachers in Africa..

Do you ever build people up in your mind--from your past, from your memory--and then, when you actually discover something factual about them from the present.. you're a little shocked and overwhelmed that they're not at all what you expected them to be? This just happened. I feel... strangely at peace. =)
