Yes, well, she whined about going up and down the stairs, but he would whine too if he had such a load to bear as she did. She had kept with her respit to make him happy. She was wearing a pair of leggings and a soft pea green long sweater. She didn't know what he wanted her downstairs for. To show her off? She didn't know. Maybe birthday cake. Mmmmm cake sounded so good.
She was led off to the party room and well, it was beautiful. She swallowed the lump in her throat, "Oui, mon amour. Zis is beautiful." she said, very quietly, it was so sweet and fresh. Like winter had come inside of Finnigans. Just for her. She didn't want to sob. "Zis is so beautiful, Seamus." she finally said with a shakey voice as she sat down with her chair. Socrates nosed her hand and she scratched his head softly, "Just beautiful."
The look on her face and the glimmer of brightness in her beautiful eyes was all Seamus needed to be assured that his wife was well pleased with her party room. He was delighted that the painstaking trip down the steps had been worth the trouble and reassured her that he would carry her back up again when she tired. Hopefully if she was comfortable enough she could enjoy some time with friends she might not see much for a while. Neither one of them was experienced with the disruption a baby could bring into their lives, but seeing his older brother Frank with his new family had made it clear that they had a lot of joy and a lot of work ahead of them. How a talented wizard and witch could be flummoxed by such a small bit of babe he was totally uncertain, but he was hardly fool enough to believe that magic would make all the difference. Particularly if their babe was also magical…a subject he’d not yet been brave enough to broach with his expectant wife

"You could be fetching me some tea, mon amour." she said, squeezing his hand with a small smile, looking up at him, "Merci beaucoup." she added.
She loved how he talked to their baby. She loved to feel them interacting in her womb. She chuckled softly, rubbing the kicked spot lightly, "There is cake, oui?" she asked, if she had pregnancy cravings, anyone that knew her would say that her biggest one was sugary treats. She loved cake and pies and little pastries. Or at least she did when she was pregnant. She hadn't had much of a sweet tooth before becoming pregnant.
She looked around her and it was just a beautifully decorated winter wonderland. But now her own surprise party would be fairly unfair. She'd just have to cancel it. That was okay, her hands rested on the baby and she let him go get her something to drink. He'd said that people were going to show up, either way, it was fine. Even if it was just them, that was fine.
Seeing as the day Seamus had chosen to surprise was different from the day Charlotte had planned her surprise for, Hannah didn't bother with asking Dean if they should go to this one together. Besides, if Charlotte then turned and cancelled the other perhaps it would open up some time for Dean and her to go on a real date.
Knowing that it was Charlotte's birthday, Hannah made a point of ensuring that the gift she brought was for the lady and not the baby. Tucked inside the card she carried was a gift card to Wolford's. Hannah felt sure that Charlotte would love the opportunity to get some new cute clothes once her body belonged to her again

"We are back in ze party room, 'anna'!" she called as she moved to get up. It wasn't as easy as it seemed these days. The woman had let her husband go tend to things at the bar and get her a drink, but their guests were going to be arriving she supposed. "Bonjour!" she called as she finally got herself up out of the chair and to the doorway of the party area.
She waddled over and hugged the other blonde, "Merci for coming! Joyeux Noel!" she chuckled, "Mon 'usband is getting me some tea. Please come sit down."
Charlotte's voice confirmed to Hannah that she was in the correct location. Pushing the door further open her eyes landed on Charlotte who was struggling to get out of the chair she'd placed herself in. Before she could tell the other lady not to worry with a formal greeting, Charlotte was on her way across the room. Hannah crossed the room so she wouldn't have to walk as far and returned the embrace offered her.
"Merry Christmas to you," Hannah responded as the two separated. "You look wonderful today," she smiled in the knowledge that any day now the Finnigan's would be proud parents.
Dean knew he was a bit late, but, in all reality, he was amazed that he'd managed to get out of the office, home for a shower, and back to Diagon Alley before 8:00pm! Still, he was getting the next few days off, and was looking forward to relaxing a bit and enjoying the party.
Dean made his way into the back room at Finnigan's, smiling at the friends he found there.
"Happy Birthday," he called out, moving to greet the extremely pregnant birthday girl first. "Looks like we'll be having another birthday any day now," Dean smiled, nodding towards Charlotte's enormous belly.
Looking up, Dean smiled at Seamus and Hannah. "Sorry I'm late- I wanted to get as much wrapped up at the office as I could."

Hannah had been enjoying the light conversation she was having with Charlotte. She knew that the other woman would be so busy soon that there would be no time for simple conversation for awhile. When Dean interupted, Hannah had a bit of a mixed reaction. While she was glad to see Dean, she also realized that regardless of their intent it seemed they never saw each other like they always promised.
When he apologized for his tardiness, Hannah didn't think it was her place to respond, after all, it wasn't her party. Deciding she'd give him time to greet Charlotte, she stood from where she'd been seated. "I think I'm going to check out the spread Seamus has put out." Then she walked over to the table that held a few bowls of goodies for those in attendance.
Seamus welcomed both Hannah and Dean with smiles and quick greetings, happy to see good friends come to celebrate the season and his own Char’s birthday
