She looked up from her ledger and saw Perry standing there and smiled. Socrates bristled from his place beside the register, pushing himself to a stand at the scent of this new male. He smelled like that greasy man and another dog. She skirted around the register counter and laid her hand on Socrates' head to reassure the dog that he was a friend, though the dog still kept a protective posture.

"I see you 'aven't forgotten ze way to ze shop. I was beginning to wonder." she said with a small smile.

He looked good. Different. Not the same. She wasn't sure as to why, but she was sure that he wasn't the same man that had worked in her shop and been so grumpy all the time, "And non, sleep is not importante, zough it is for a different reason now." she laughed.

She kept her hand on the white dog's head, scritching there softly. The dog was still protective, but that was all the more endearing to her. "Zis is Socrates."

With the full moon only a couple of days out, the smell of dog had hit Perry's nose just a beat after his eyes found Charlotte. His lip was already on the verge of curling as the little monster stood to assert his position in the situation. Normal dog etiquette would have been to submit... but Perry was not a dog. He kept his eyes on Socrates's, staring him down, practically burning the message in the little dog's head. Try it, you little....

Oh, right, Charlotte was talking. "I've been busy," he said unapologetically, briefly tearing his eyes from the dog to grin/smirk at that last comment. "I bet."

At the introduction, he cast Socrates another warning glare. "We've met." He didn't like dogs. He didn't like animals. He barely got on with Aubrey, and the only thing holding their relationship together was that cats were so fecking needy and they both knew who controlled the food when Pansy was out ( ... )

She smiled to him. She knew that the moon was coming and that was why Socrates was all growly and protective. "Let me put 'im in ze back room for a moment." she said, taking ahold of Socrates' collar, "Come, Socrates." she said, sternly and the dog moved to follow her.

She took the dog into the backroom and closed the door. Once she came back, she smiled to him, "Oui, I am getting married on ze 21st of zis month." she replied with a smile to him. She didn't need him to say she didn't like dogs or pets. She remembered his saying he had disliked animals when they had first met. "To mon Seamus." she said, beaming brightly. She was quite content to be marrying Seamus.

Charlotte was young and in love and she was content in her life, "You and your Pansy are to be invited of course." she said with a smile.

Oh good, she was locking up the dog. That put him more at ease-he wasn't too fond of the smell this time of month. It was unusual for him to be out and about-much less visiting people-this close to the full moon anyway, but he found his usual aggression was getting less and less severe these days. He was still a nuisance, especially to Pansy, but nothing like he'd once been.

He raised an eyebrow. "That soon?" How long had she known him, anyway? Charlotte really hadn't spoken much on the subject while he was working for her, he only knew that they saw each other occasionally. And Seamus was an Order member; Perry only knew the man on a "professional" level, not enough to form his own opinions of him. It was only a vague sense of male protectiveness that had him curious. But if Charlotte was so content, could he really say much?

Heh, he grinned at the mention of his own love life. "Heh. I'll have Pansy check her schedule."
