Not arguing as Remus held out his hands for the small cake she turned it over slowly to his ownership, not wishing the candles to blow out before she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She held him tightly, as if he had barely existed before this moment. Choking back the urge to cry she stepped away, just inches, still remaining in the circle of his arms and smiled up at him ( ... )

Bill raised his eyebrow, having expected a hug from his friend. It took him a few moments to realize why Remus had held back, when he realize Bill rolled his eyes at the other man. These days he wasn't good at being touched, but the people right here would always be exceptions ( ... )
