Charlotte was in the process of locking up the store, knowing she should head for the Leaky to have something to eat, yet,she just needed to get out of the shop for a little bit. She was going to have to find someone to help her with the shop a couple of days a week, her research was falling to the wayside and she was researching how to restore the Hogwarts Library when the school was ready to reopen.

It was a little pet project that she hadn't talked with Fleur about yet, but she knew that a school was not a school without a proper Library. She hummed lightly as she slipped her keys into her pocket and turned to look at Diagon, taking a deep breath before heading off down the street with no real intention or destination.

Swarms of customers were drawn to Quality Quidditch Supplies thanks to the ticket giveaway, and Clive was caught in the middle of that storm. He hadn't had a break since he arrived this morning, and he wouldn't be able to take lunch "until the queue eases up," which to Clive meant sometime in the next decade. Even his infinite patience was wearing thin, and it showed in the tension on his face as well as the beads of sweat forming on the back of his neck. The crowds seemed larger now that the contest had got a writeup in the Prophet, and for once, Clive rather regreted agreeing to speak with Pitch Malbum.

He slid his robesleeve across his forehead to clear away the worst of the perspiration before it got in his eyes and readied himself to handle the next customer in the queue.

Feeling rather listless, Charlie didn’t bother answering Tonks as she asked him what were bound to be rhetorical questions anyway. He merely stuffed his hands in his trouser pockets as he stepped over the threshold into Quality Quidditch Supplies. Normally, he would have been excited to be in the shop- but, there was nothing normal about his days anymore.

He sighed and paused to stare at a rather shiny broomstick, before continuing to trail Tonks. “I need a drink,” he muttered to himself, rubbing his nose lightly. Charlie glanced around at all of the people. “Now.”

“Oh Holy Harpy!” Tonks exclaimed as she abruptly stopped, nearly running into some younger boys on their way out of the shop with their purchases. It took a lot of concentration to not fall backwards to the floor, for they had tried to exit without even seeing Tonks or Charlie ( ... )

When Clive had finished with the young customer (who spent interminable minutes filling out the form before realising he'd still have to get a parent's permission in order to attend the matches, and was therefore wasting Clive's time), the management member on duty poked him towards the pair of customers who'd just entered the shop. Two contest forms were shoved into Clive's hands and then he was unceremoniously shoved towards Tonks and Charlie.

"...come to Quality Quidditch Supplies," he started to murmur for the umpteenth time today. It came out mechanically, and Clive suddenly wished he'd had a voice recorder to speak out these same words instead having his mouth do all of the work. "Clive Smales, at your service. Reckon you're here to enter the contest, right? Forms right here." He held one out in each hand. "Quills to your left. If you've any questions about the contest or any of our merchandise please let me know. " His smile was more weary than accomodating but he was having a rather rough time of it.
