....all I've got to say to this one:

There’s much I could say at this point, but I’m sure nobody wants to read through 10+ paragraphs of pure bile. I’ll just stick with saying that anyone interested in being a BDSM dom probably fits the same personality type as those who staffed the camps at Belsen and Auschwitz. Torture is torture by any name.

uh actually no

What is with people who don't consider the submissive/masochist partner's consent and active desire for domination or pain delivered by a specific person under specific circumstances to be relevant? It's just unfathomable to me that there are people who can't distinguish consensual "abuse" from horrific, genuine suffering. It's as though subjective consciousness did not even exist, if one can't fathom the distinction.

I think the reference is to the fact that the Nazis often made "habitual criminals" (wearers of the green triangle) into Kapos.

Even with the idea that the Nazis did that on purpose, though, there's evidence that social sanction for cruelty can make people into torturers by itself. So for that and myriad other reasons I'm not buying the idea that someone like me is someone like that.

See, this kind of shit makes me sadistic for real. The difference between what BDSM people do in bed and, oh, the holocaust is...

fucking hell, these people.

I know. Most people by now are telling me to let it drop. But I think it's important to show people: yes, these people are off the deep end, but that's what hate actually looks like.

I no longer feel emotionally hurt/invested, but I do feel a need to unearth it, especially since a favorite excuse is "No one really says that! That's a stereotype of 'the hairy angry feminist!'"

WTF.

That is all.

Srsly.

(And yes, that did warrant gratuitous use of internet slang.)

What? The Jews, Roma, Homosexuals, etc. had safewords to get out of the camps? Why wasn't this mentioned in my HS history class?

THIS COMMENT WINS.

There's also the fact that if I'd been alive then and German, I'd have been one of the ones who died first anyway.

Personally, I think that anyone interested in regulating and condemning the consensual sexual activity of others probably fits the same personality type as those who put homosexuals into the concentration camps in the first place. Othering is othering by any name and all.
