I've been a clean freak lately. Now I see something that needs doing (and there's a lot of that around here, with our menagerie) and I hop over to do it, which is a nice change. For the last couple of years I'd see something and think "yeah, but who cares?" followed by a long mental "Marvin"-style rant about the pointlessness of housework and life

For him, that's "letting", yes. It indicated (to me) that we'd attained a certain level of trust. :D

Maybe it wasn't Marvin's big brain that was causing him problems, but hypothyroidism. Except that Androids don't have thyroids. Anyway.

He did have a pain in the diodes down his left side... perhaps that's the android's version of hypothyroidism.
