Buffy really can't start from the beginning of the first season. I'd go for S2 as a starting place instead. Even as a 40+ year old, it still resonates.

buffy's best season, imo, is season three - but season two is good for laying the groundwork. and some later eps are just sublime.

i know so little about recent tv. i just don't seem to have the ability to stick with it for any length of time. the only thing i care about seeing is Sherlock, and those are three movie long eps per season - i can manage that.
