Don't worry about Ten's last words: that line ("You two, with me, spit-spot.") is from SJA.

RTD has teasingly revealed that the last letter he wrote for Ten's dialogue was "n" ;)

Yeah, I noticed that line in SJA and I hoped that was it.

"n", eh?

It was. He talked about how it was weird that his last day on Doctor Who wasn't his last day as the Doctor, as they filmed SJA after they wrapped The End of Time.

And that his last words filmed as the Doctor (which he referred to as "his last words" because they are for him) were the "spit-spot" and that it wasn't particularly epic.

Only one, and you better listen to me you goddamn silly show which I have worshipped for the last nearly three years:
TEN WILL NOT TELL ROSE NOT TO TRAVEL WITH THE MYSTERY MAN IN THE BLUE BOX, THEREBY UNMAKING EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENED ON THE NEW SERIES SO FAR IN ORDER TO SAVE THE TIMELINE.

WAIT WHAT? CAN THIS EVEN HAPPEN? OMG I DONT EVEN WANT TO THINK ABOUT THIS, IT DIDNT EVEN OCCUR TO ME BEFORE OMG.

I'm sorry. This is my worst fear. Seriously.

Okay, #7: If RTD gives me #7, I *may* be able to make peace with JE, and I *may* have to take back all the uncharitable things I've said about him. *Maybe.* I make no promises. That said, I'd be shocked beyond belief if he let it happen.

As for your Do-Not-Want, I...never even thought of that. Good God. Is that a rumor?

To clarify: I have heard no rumours like that, and it seems like it'd be a pretty damn hard secret to keep. I also heard recently that Torchwood S4 is looking very likely, which of course would not be possible if Rose had never travelled with the Doctor because Jack would not exist in this day and age. However, it is very much RTD's style, and everything seems to be building towards something like this, so I'm terrified. :(

This has been my fear for quite some time, I've even bugged unfolded73 to assure me there's no way it could happen, and got her fretting about it.

I've come to the conclusion that it can't happen for many of the reasons stated here. That RTD would not want his years of canon unmade, that Torchwood can't exist if Jack is never made immortal. Also, when those spoilers about the Doctor going back to the Powell Estate c. 2005 came out, I thought the report was that one of his lines of dialogue sounded like, "You're gonna have a really great year." Not consistent with warning her away from the scary man in the blue box. Lastly, in addition to Torchwood, the Sarah Jane Adventures couldn't exist if Sarah hadn't met up with the Doctor in School Reunion. That's when he fixed K9 for her (and gave her the sonic lipstick and that little watch thingie she wears).

So I am no longer bovvered. (I am bovvered about them bringing the Time Lords back, but we'll see how it plays out.)

I know this logically, but there was that period after CoE where it looked like Torchwood was over, I don't follow SJA so I didn't know if that had already been assured to be continued, and I was like "OH GOD, IT ALL FITS!"

Now hearing about TW S4 I am comforted. But I still fret, because that's my nature. :)

Oh, god! Don't even say that! I have read some theories about unmaking the RTD years and I'm with you on the Do Not Want! Two points that might help:

RTD is very vain. I really don't see him undoing all his work.
And Rose is very stubborn. She would make up her own mind and not listen to the nutter.

Also, as I pointed out above, Torchwood S4 is apparently looking likely, which could not happen if this occurred.

I still worry.

Ah but there is the fact that Nine had to ask twice. He could still say it, abd that is why she saus no the first time, but then Rose could say, after the 2nd one, "Screw it--he looks like a good time..."

Since I still can't get over the regeneration I hadn't thought at all about any of this! I'm so going to be a puddle of confused blue goo!!! (oh yeah thinking of dying my hair blue in honour of DW! well DT and DW, well mainly DT!!!)

I really hope they don't mess with cannon too much yet given the terrors and pain of Ten surely something must happen to even make him want to regenerate, never mind get all sparkly new in eleven unless Matt will be playing a suicidal timelord which meh ok but it was Rose saved him damn it so I think she'll save him again. Nothing against the new companion (yet) but surely that kind of remeption and love doesn't just bong in and out of existence all the time.

David has been very coy about whether he actually worked with Matt on set which might just be that they didn't even want him seeing any spoilers or many this really isn't a common regeneration *fingers crossed* cos I still think if they ever do a film they could only do it with one man!!!!
