I think it's because we get a new and different viewpoint of our beloved guys. And most always, the boys are too close to a situation to see themselves objectively...but a stranger? Right or wrong, they add a valid perspective to some very complicated lives.

Makes sense - but for me as a reader, it's not something I gravitate towards. I guess I should be glad that my readers enjoy it, and keep going! :)
