It strikes me as interesting that it doesn't occur to Percy immediately that his tea might be laced... I think even when authority figures are evil, he at least doesn't assume the very worst. This isn't a slight against Percy, obviously (if I didn't like the guy I wouldn't be reading this fic!), but it's just an observation. Not sure whether this was intentional or if I'm reading too much into things, as usual. :)

Having a comment on this fic has made my Monday morning! :)

Yes, it was intentional, and I'm glad you caught it. Percy has always trusted authority figures and rules--that is his comfort zone, and he still does unless he has evidence to the contrary. Auror Stumpton used an interrogation trick on Percy which worked perfectly.

Thank you for reading and leaving such a thoughtful comment! :)

You're welcome! I know I'm not always the best commenter, so. :)

And glad that was on purpose, I figured it was. I love reading fics about Percy. You have to feel a bit bad for the guy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with him for the final battle, even though it's going to be painful.

Oh, so now it begins. I like how you added dialogue to include Audrey in Percy's first conversations with his family.
