Angel and Cordy sat on the beach, her head resting on his chest while his arm wrapped around her, holding her. "What are you thinking about?" she asked quietly.
He smiled and kissed the top of her head. "You. Life. This moment."
She nodded, knowing she was the only one who could truly appreciate how momentous this moment was. For both of them."
Cordy kissed him tenderly. "I love you, Angel."
"I love you, too," he told her, tightening his arms around her.
It was in that moment that the sun rose. It was his first sunrise as a human.
