I love Top Gun, spend too much time slashing it...
Usually, it's totally Mav/Ice, but for I can always totally see Maverick's massive admiration for Goose.

Nice one. It made me really feel for Maverick. And for Goose, too, for that matter. I think most people would assume that if anyone had unrequited feelings, it would be Goose. But yours is a more interesting dynamics and it makes sense. It seems that Goose is always following Maverick but in fact Maverick depends on him in everything and says as much in the movie.
