Hi, I'm new here.  I'm 32yo, female, disabled, fibro started in 2006.  Pain and muscle tightness/spasm in neck, shoulders and jaw are my issues.  I've tried lots of meds, many of them several times (have chronic headache as well), but nothing that's come out recently because they're not covered by ins.  Also not covered but helpful is massage ( Read more... )

Welcome! We share a lot of the same hobbies (although I don't knit, I have just recently taken up crochet). Pharmaceutical companies suck in general. They will fight all the way. Rant away, that is part of what we are here for, a place to talk about those things that other people don't understand. Again, welcome!

Hi! Welcome! I still haven't found that magical combination of stuff that helps me function well day-to-day so I tend to spend a lot of time online. lol

Pfizer is on my shit list cause they keep sending back my Lyrica application.

That may be because they were recently fined by the FDA for falsifying documentation related to Lyrica's effectiveness with regard to Fibromyalgia. Not sure how that's going to affect them giving it to people for Fibro in the future, but that could be part of the problem.

It certainly was a relief for me to find this bunch of people who know what I'm going through. though I must admit things have been pretty good for me recently.

I like to write ... so mabye you'd enjoy reading some of my stuff? It's mostly for children though.

And I also enjoy quilting (when I have the time). Plus I cross stitch, draw and paint. So it's nice to meet another arty crafty person.

Hang in there!
