Today I watched the streaming video of the presidential inauguration with two students (not my own).

A fairly simple statement, but its implications are staggering.

• An African-American man became president of the United States.

I got the new kitten.  She is currently nameless.  The shelter called her "Muffin," which Jim the Boyfriend and I are sure we can improve.  Current choices include Natalie and Minnie (short for Minerva, as in McGonnegal).

Some of you requested so more details, so here they are.

This is the second year that TSU has participated in a podcast tournament.  Last time, it was just a couple of universities in Tennessee; this year, the tournament expanded into a regional thing.  Basically, the tournament asked faculty and students to create podcasts, with or without ( Read more... )

I have been informed that I won the Faculty Concepts (i.e., course work) category for the regional podcast tournament.

Yes, my podcast in Middle English beat out a video!  That's pretty cool for such a total geek!

So, I've finally read the comments on my book proposal.

Reviewers 2 and 3 made some good suggestions and told me some useful things.  Reviewer 1 thinks everything I've ever said was already said in the 80s, my ideas are simplistic and naive, I do not understand theory, and that I did not do sufficient research.

Grrrr.
