Okay, now that we have an idea of the sorts of numbers we're dealing with, it's time to outline in more detail what's going to be happening for this BDE. A list of victims will go up in the next post, and we'll be asking you to make some choices as well as nominate for groups. There will also be a further post on the safehouses, with more details,

About the ageing up of characters (the up to two-years thing) would the characters remember whatever past/future we make up for them for that? Like, if they do what'd be the limits on that?
Or would they just wake up however much older when they're brought out of stasis in 2008? Without the memories from the extra time? How does that work?

The first trouser leg, or timeline, is the one where the victims land in the past and live that timeline until they die.
When the 2008 Fandomers send the message to the victims in the past, telling them about the stasis place, they will create an alternate timeline for them.
This second timeline, or trouser leg, will replace, or overwrite, the first. This means that the time between when the victims arrive in the past and enter the stasis box, to wait there until 2008, will become the current Fandom High timeline.
Because this second timeline has overwritten the first, they will remember what happened between when they arrived in the past and when the are taken out of stasis. That is the timeline they will continue living once they are retrieved from the stasis box.
Did that make sense? I think I do need to do a diagram…

A: They go back into the past and live through it 'til they die.
B: They go back into the past and get messages from 2008 to get to the stasis place. It can take the characters up to two years of 'past-time' to do this.
C: 2008.
So, they all start off in C, then the victims move to A and live out their lives. Then other C people get a message to them which creates an AU where the A people switch over to the B timeline. Now, in the B timeline, the victims have got to get to the stasis point. Whatever amount of time they take to do this they will remember when they get back to C. And any memories gathered by the C crowd concerning the A timeline will just fade with time.
Right? Or am I way off base?

And I may just have to steal that for explanations, with credit, if you don't mind.
