What is with all the trolling and rant deleting lately!?!

Going so far as to delete not only your post but your whole journal (pearsnpears) after people disagree with your HDU treat people using slurs uncivilly post makes you look less like someone ignorant of the issues and more like a concern troll who couldn't take the heat.

I think they expected everyone to band together and go ''ra ra ra'', instead of calling them out on their shenanigans. Their flounce of an ETA only made it more obvious.

Annoying is what it is. I left the computer to clean the house and feed the goats, got distracted by some awesome goat antics, came back and it was gone. Overall, I feel I was better off with the goats but still it would have been nice to see someone owning their words - they actually seemed to be listening towards the last of what I saw (despite the hideousness of their initial replies to comments). Did anything else happen or was it delayed reaction butthurt?

I'm not sure if they were listening so much as playing lip service. It seemed to me that since people have been rather clearly explaining to the trolls on what they're doing wrong, and showing the patience of angels to boot, their entire "You must be POLITE! You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!" spiel was really mostly about slurs being called out at all.

(OT - you really have goats? Because a) awesome! and b) would you mind if I PM'd you sometime? I'm currently planning a fic where the characters have to herd goats (long story), and while I'm not exactly looking to make it super realistic, I'd love some ideas on what I could have the goats put them through... If not, that's cool too.)

Lip service is most likely, definitely. Especially with the delete.

(We have three little pygmy goats, an adult doe called Marsy, an adult wether called Richard and a kid doe called Rita the Bleater or Reet Petite. Only had the first two for three months and Reets for a week now, but yes, I have some stories of the wonderful horrors that goats will put people through :D. PM me anytime, but fair warning I love talking about them, beautiful, brilliant and exasperating animals :))
