 I've started meditating. I've done it before, once or twice in a group, guided situation, and then a few times sort of half assed using a podcast to attempt to get my flying anxiety under control (which sort of worked). Ah, the 'oh my god my mind is clear omg!!' reaction--the bane of meditationalists! LOL I haven't meditated in a long time. I should get back into it. Are you listening to music, staring at candles, or something else? There's a podcast I used to listen to with a soothing Aussie guy that I sort of liked except I hate new age music and he wanted candles to be used and I didn't have any. Plus, I don't think putting out the cat is very relaxing.

No music, no nada, just breathing. I did download some podcasts though, for some guided meditation options. I do this sitting on the bathroom floor, because the dogs bug me in every other room.

Remember listening to a guided imagery tape, which was supposed to help with sleeping, on a trip down to Maryland? We put it on in the car and Justine started freaking out about how the tape was going to make her crash because it would make her fall asleep at the wheel.
So please, don't meditate while driving.
