Nope...feel free to vote on as many (or as little!) as you'd like! You earn points and more of them by voting regularly on applications...but, that's more for members of the actual land comm (and it isn't mandatory for them either!). Anyone who joins can vote just to keep the rating activity going and for fun if they'd like! XD
Re: Questions?cassandrablueAugust 13 2011, 00:13:01 UTC
YES AND SO FAR I LOVE IT. I'm actually filling out a normal application as we speak... Which leads to a SECOND question. (Oh noes!)
If I do your rating and get stamped before I'm put on a team can I request that I recieve the actual stamp after I'm put into my respective team? Do I even make sense? Lulz

NOTE: this is just to show you what we mean by the "comment application" should you decide to post your application this way instead of over at ivalice_rating. XD ...In reality, you need to actually fill the answers out, lolz.

What weapons might you want to use during a fight...or train yourself to be better in (for example: your bare fists, a sword, a boomerang-type weapon, a gun, a bow, a staff, etc.)?: Would your weapon need to be conventional or could it be out-of-the-ordinary (such as a book, a musical instrument, a stuffed animal, a fan)?: Would a fighting style especially focused on group work be okay with you? Would you prefer one that requires you to work independently...or would you rather one that allows you to do both?: Would speed or power be your preference during combat?: Would you like to have attacks or spells that focus on groups or on individuals?: What would be your primary strategy if faced with a powerful enemy and escape wasn't an option?:

Would aerial attacks interest you?: Depends on how good they are. Are they like the FFTA's Dragoon Jump? Then yes. If it's like FFT's Dragoon Jump? ...Meh. How about magic spells? Would you want offensive ones or support/healing ones primarily? A mix of both?: Not too big on spells...but if I had any at all, it'd probably be a curing one so I wouldn't need a healer. What about status effects? Would you like your abilities to center around them primarily...or just as an added bonus? Would you prefer them to be positive for your allies or detrimental to your enemies?: Meh. Not really into them very much. Would item usage be interesting to focus on during fights? Only if I have no healer or crappy/no healing magicks. Then it would be important as my only source of healing. What about technology? Would you like to utilize it in fights or would you prefer more melee based attacks? Meh. Not really into that very much. Would you want animal allies or an allied partner (such as an automaton) to fight with you?: Depends on how badass they

I'm sort of torn... I narrowed it down to between Dark Knight and Gladiator, because they're both very strong melee frontliners with a tendency to sacrifice certain stats (or in the case of the Dark Knight, health) for damage and/or power. I think I'm going to go with Gladiator in the end (although Dark Knight was actually my first thought).
The Gladiator seems to fit the trade-off of speed/defense for power better than the Dark Knight class... also because you actually do demonstrate a (marginal) concern for your HP. I also imagine the idea of a gladiator is really a one-on-one, maybe with one other companion kind of fight, so that fits as well. Weapon-wise, it does suit you, since it's a heavy-hitting melee class (and you like swords! "Welcome to Corneria.") The Revenant Wings version of the Gladiator even notes that it's rather Dark Knight-esque as well, so I think that version in particular is a pretty good fit for you? Neither class I can think of as appropriate has much in the way of healing skills, though, so you'll just

I'm going to say Gladiator! Because I was totally laughing. (I'M SORRY. XD;;) Because it's like. The. JUST STAB THINGS UNTIL THEY DIE one. Well. Technically, I guess Berserker is, but Berserker is less... survivalry? They wouldn't be chugging potions. And because, while not strictly canon, since Gladiator mains sword, I think? I think of them as a bit of a weaponmaster, so. Just. Smack with whatever hurts most.

I can't think of any better fit for you than Blue Mage! You like a blend of magic and physical attacks, and Blue Mages tend to be capable of both. Their attacks are a bit more esoteric because they learn enemy skills instead of acquiring their own, which actually fits what you said about how you'd enjoy copying an opponent's skills and using it against them. You also seem to like being a mid-range attacker... I keep thinking of Quistis as a really good example of this, really. Mid-range, blue magic
( ... )
Hmmmm, I'll have to go with Green Mage. They don't use staves, but hammers and maces are nice blunt (and crushing) weapons too. They have a lot of support skills and certainly know how to inflict various statuses on enemies. And with their weapon, they can go into the fray if necessary. Or cast spells from a distance. I think the Green Mage would fit in with your fighting strategy of support magic, status effects and then whacking it on the head. XD
