Today was so hard... first day (for me) of tax season... after two dental appointments in a row... one of which was a surprise appointment... and it was so cold... and I hurt so much... and then there was grocery shopping... and driving to Boston and back...

Waaaaaaaaah...

Gods, I'm whiny.

It hurts so much when other people let me down over and over... why do I get my hopes up? Why do I continue to believe?

I am so very, very tired.

This has been on my mind for a number of reasons lately. The next few years look like more and more mutual aid is the way we are going to need to go. I know I frequently come across as a small "c" communist, and maybe rightly so, but I believe in "from each, to each".

Today I went on a date with my girlfriend Kristina. We went to a plant store here in Worcester that had a lovely combination of plants, bones, crystals, and taxidermy. Sometimes, if I don't see someone often, I forget that they are dead until someone mentions their name... and then I am overwhelmed by a sense of loss.

Brains are weird. Death is weird.

Well... 35 years after I said I would never go to another high school reunion, I have just paid for a ticket to my 40th. Perhaps my classmates will have grown up a bit?
