I'd forgotten I wrote this - I did so ages ago, when I was a student, and things like this mattered, and might even have been funny. Yeah! I feel the same way. I started on the Manics when I was 19 (I'm from Edmonton in Canada) and I felt utterly alone when I talked about the Manics and people would look at me as if I was just out of my head, cause they barely made a ripple in Canada, so yeah. I know the feeling.

I was always the only person in my small town who liked the Manics, but then I got to go to the Welsh Assembly convention in Cardiff one year, which made everything better. :-D
